ClearToken has introduced a clearing house to the digital asset trading market, reducing counterparty risks and facilitating broader adoption by institutions. ClearToken is establishing a Central Counterparty (CCP) to address the key issues and challenges in the structure of the digital asset trading market. The CCP will eliminate the bilateral counterparty risks associated with settlement, financing, and derivative transactions through centralized clearing, settlement, collateral, and risk management arrangements, similar to how traditional exchanges handle asset transactions. This will enable all participants in the ecosystem—investors, exchanges, brokers, market makers, and custodians—to deal with the CCP rather than with each other, thereby simplifying transactions, improving capital efficiency, and reducing the risks for all parties involved.
