Job Description
This role focuses on developing and maintaining blockchain data infrastructure. You will work on core systems that process on-chain data, optimize the Parsec API, and enhance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support scalable data workflows. The position requires deep technical expertise in building reliable data storage solutions, integrating emerging DeFi protocols, and designing caching mechanisms for historical blockchain state data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, performance, and security across decentralized applications. A strong passion for blockchain technology and its evolving ecosystems is essential, with particular interest in DeFi, NFTs, and on-chain market dynamics being a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust systems for processing on-chain data, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Design and implement progressive code to simplify the Parsec API while expanding its capabilities for complex data operations.
- Optimize ETL pipelines to improve data processing efficiency and reduce latency for real-time analytics.
- Integrate new DeFi protocols into existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless compatibility and data synchronization.
- Create reliable caching services for historical on-chain state data to enhance query performance and reduce network overhead.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to define requirements and refine data processing workflows.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure scalability and reliability under high load.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to support team onboarding and system maintenance.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in blockchain data processing, with a strong understanding of on-chain data structures and protocols.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go, with expertise in building scalable APIs and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt) and data storage solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IPFS).
- Deep knowledge of DeFi ecosystems, including smart contract interactions, token economics, and decentralized data storage.
- Experience with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and distributed systems design for high-throughput environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to debugging and optimizing complex data workflows.
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity about DeFi, NFTs, and on-chain markets is highly valued, with a demonstrated ability to explore emerging trends and technologies.
- Preferred: Familiarity with blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Solidity, Truffle) and experience with decentralized application (dApp) architecture.
- Preferred: Understanding of data privacy regulations and security best practices for blockchain data handling.
