Job Description

Seeking a skilled backend developer to design, develop, and maintain the core architecture of blockchain projects. This role involves creating scalable and secure systems that support decentralized applications (DApps) and blockchain networks. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that ensure data integrity, transaction processing efficiency, and network reliability. Responsibilities include optimizing smart contract interactions, managing distributed ledger technologies, and integrating blockchain systems with existing infrastructure. The position requires a deep understanding of blockchain protocols and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges in a high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend systems for blockchain platforms, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Design and implement smart contracts using Solidity or other relevant languages, with a focus on security and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end blockchain solutions.
Optimize blockchain network performance through algorithm refinement, data structure improvements, and resource management.
Implement cryptographic protocols and consensus mechanisms to ensure data authenticity and network security.
Monitor and maintain blockchain infrastructure, including nodes, databases, and API gateways, to prevent downtime.
Conduct code reviews and debugging sessions to identify and resolve vulnerabilities in blockchain applications.
Research and adopt emerging blockchain technologies to enhance system capabilities and stay competitive in the market.
Document technical specifications and development processes for blockchain projects to facilitate team collaboration.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for blockchain development and data privacy.

Job Requirements

Proven experience (3+ years) in backend development with a strong focus on blockchain technologies and distributed systems.
Expertise in programming languages such as Solidity, Python, Go, or JavaScript, with hands-on experience in blockchain frameworks like Hyperledger Fabric or Ethereum.
Demonstrated knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, consensus protocols (e.g., Proof of Work, Proof of Stake), and blockchain architecture principles.
Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data storage solutions for blockchain applications.
Experience with API development and integration, including RESTful services and GraphQL, to connect blockchain systems with external platforms.
Ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance blockchain solutions using DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure.
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset to debug complex blockchain-related issues and optimize system efficiency.
Collaborative team player with strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies for iterative blockchain project delivery.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with certifications in blockchain development or cybersecurity.

Technical Expertise

Proficient in blockchain development tools and platforms, including Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, and other distributed ledger systems. Familiar with blockchain consensus algorithms, smart contract lifecycle management, and decentralized application (DApp) architecture. Must have experience with cryptographic libraries (e.g., OpenSSL, CryptoJS) and secure data transmission protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH). Knowledge of blockchain scalability solutions such as sharding, layer-2 protocols, and cross-chain interoperability is essential. Understanding of blockchain governance models and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is required for secure and legal system development.

Collaboration & Communication

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and cybersecurity specialists. Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document development workflows. Experience with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack for project management and team coordination. Must be able to present technical solutions to clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives. Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation for blockchain systems, including API references, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

Performance & Optimization

Skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks in blockchain networks and implementing solutions to improve transaction throughput and latency. Experience with optimizing smart contract execution efficiency through code refactoring, gas optimization techniques, and efficient data structures. Familiar with blockchain monitoring tools and analytics platforms to track system performance and detect anomalies. Must have knowledge of blockchain resource management strategies, including node optimization, storage efficiency, and bandwidth allocation. Ability to design and implement blockchain solutions that balance security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in enterprise environments.
