Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substrate and Rust Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be actively involved in designing, collaborating, and implementing core Timechain development modules. You will take ownership of assigned modules, ensuring quality, stability, and test coverage while aligning with release timelines. This position requires a proactive approach to collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively design, collaborate, and participate in feature building and product development implementation of core Timechain development modules.
- Collaborate to drive execution plans, addressing technical challenges, and assisting in steering projects toward Engineering key milestones.
- Take full ownership of assigned modules, ensuring quality, stability, and test coverage while aligning with release timelines.
- Optionally ensure quality and reliability through automated testing design for your projects.
- Proactively participate in mandatory meetings (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning) and discussions with the research and product teams.
- Maintain proven track records of discussions with team members, including Huddles, Zoom calls, and other communication platforms.
- Perform code reviews and offer mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Liaise with the Product and development (SCRUM) team to execute Product development objectives.
- Maintain detailed architectural documentation of assigned modules for internal and external clarity.
- Contribute to and review product change proposals for assigned modules, upholding architectural quality.
- Stay updated on industry standards and emerging practices, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer with expertise in Substrate and Rust.
- Strong background in blockchain technology and Timechain development.
- Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Experience in maintaining detailed technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and sprint planning.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
