Developer Advocate at Base

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Create innovative onchain applications to support the Base Marketing team's initiatives
• Develop and implement smart contracts that power engaging user experiences
• Build public goods and developer tools that enhance the entire EVM community
• Simplify the development process for Base builders through educational resources and technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address developer pain points
• Contribute to the broader EVM ecosystem through open-source projects and community engagement

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in blockchain development or developer advocacy
• Strong proficiency in smart contract development (Solidity, Vyper, or similar)
• Demonstrated experience building onchain applications and developer tools
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Passion for creating public goods and improving developer experiences
• Deep understanding of the EVM ecosystem and its developer community
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open-source blockchain projects
• Track record of community engagement and technical content creation
• Familiarity with Base chain and its technical architecture
• Knowledge of developer relations strategies and best practices
