Job Description
This position is ideal for a driven and creative professional who will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our web-based solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing responsive web products that deliver exceptional user experiences across all platforms. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, including founders and designers, the individual will contribute to the strategic direction of product development while ensuring technical feasibility and innovation. The role also involves conducting rapid experimentation cycles to validate hypotheses and refine features based on real-time customer feedback and performance metrics. Additionally, the candidate will support the growth of our engineering team through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and fostering a collaborative work environment. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web development practices, including user-centered design, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and system performance while adapting to evolving project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain highly responsive web products using a full-stack approach, ensuring optimal performance and scalability across all platforms.
- Collaborate closely with founders and designers to translate business requirements into detailed product specifications and technical designs.
- Design and execute A/B testing experiments to gather actionable insights, analyze results, and iterate on product features to maximize user engagement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Lead the onboarding and development of junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Stay updated on emerging web technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development methodologies and tooling.
- Document technical processes, architecture decisions, and codebase to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain system integrity.
- Coordinate with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring robustness and reliability of web applications.
- Contribute to the creation of scalable infrastructure solutions that support growing user demands and business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in full-stack web development, with expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility to ensure seamless user experiences on all devices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with founders, designers, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze customer feedback and metrics to identify patterns, prioritize feature improvements, and validate product hypotheses.
- Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to deliver iterative updates and maintain high-quality standards.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for efficient workflow management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
- Excellent mentoring skills to guide junior engineers, foster professional growth, and maintain team productivity.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals, with a proactive attitude towards innovation and process improvement.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development, with a track record of delivering successful products in a startup or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices to support scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
