Job Description
As an IR Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's fundraising strategy and investor relations initiatives. This position requires comprehensive planning and execution of fundraising activities, including the development of strategic goals and the identification of optimal funding channels. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of financial institutions, both within and outside Mainland China, as well as family offices, third-party wealth management firms, and other potential fundraising venues. Additionally, you will oversee the entire fundraising process for various financial products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The role also involves monitoring and managing the lifecycle of funds, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining operational continuity through proactive follow-up and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and implementation of fundraising strategies, including setting measurable targets and designing execution frameworks for diverse financial products.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and financial intermediaries across global markets, prioritizing high-net-worth individuals and strategic partners.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to evaluate potential fundraising opportunities, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as legal, compliance, and product teams to streamline fundraising processes and mitigate risks.
- Monitor fund performance post-issuance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing operational challenges promptly.
- Develop and maintain investor communication protocols, including investor presentations, roadshows, and relationship management systems.
- Collaborate with senior management to align fundraising activities with long-term business goals and market trends.
- Stay updated on evolving financial market dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to optimize fundraising outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services or fundraising operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing fundraising campaigns for private equity, hedge funds, or institutional investment vehicles.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, including equity offerings, bond issuances, and alternative investment structures.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with strong communication skills to engage with both domestic and international investors.
- Excellent analytical abilities to assess financial data, market trends, and investor behavior for strategic decision-making.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the capability to oversee cross-functional collaboration and project timelines.
- Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or FINRA would be highly advantageous for regulatory compliance and credibility.
- Ability to travel frequently to meet with institutional investors, attend industry events, and conduct on-site due diligence.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment, and investor relationship management software tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with stakeholders, negotiate terms, and maintain long-term partnerships.
