Job Description
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to ensure the company's cryptocurrency business operations comply with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves advising on regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal implications across various business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to company management and business departments regarding products, operational activities, potential regulatory issues, business risks, and compliance matters
- Offer legal guidance and support for cryptocurrency business operations, particularly futures and spot trading, to ensure compliance with target country regulations and international laws
- Develop and implement the company's compliance framework, including drafting user agreements and establishing KYC/AML processes that meet regulatory requirements
- Represent the company in communications with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and external legal counsel
- Identify and highlight legal risks throughout business operations and processes
- Provide legal counsel on cryptocurrency-related commercial transactions, new products, customer terms, vendor contracts, and marketing materials
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in financial services or fintech legal matters, particularly with futures and spot trading
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance systems and processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with regulators and external parties
- Strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Ability to draft and review complex legal documents and agreements
- Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate across different functions
- Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency businesses
