Job Description
This position is responsible for sourcing and evaluating upstream suppliers (cloud services, nodes, data, payment solutions, etc.), conducting price comparisons, and leading commercial negotiations. The role involves signing procurement contracts, managing supplier relationships, ensuring service stability, and optimizing costs. Additionally, the candidate will continuously monitor market trends to refine procurement strategies and reduce unit costs. Close collaboration with technical teams is required to clarify resource specifications and ensure procurement aligns with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and assess upstream suppliers across multiple domains including cloud infrastructure, node providers, data services, and payment solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive price comparisons and lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Draft, review, and finalize procurement contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage ongoing supplier relationships to guarantee service reliability and cost efficiency.
- Monitor market conditions and trends to adjust procurement strategies proactively.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define resource requirements and ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities and supplier performance metrics.
Job Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the infrastructure ecosystem, particularly in transit or cloud services, with established supplier networks or procurement experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in procurement or commercial negotiations, capable of independently managing RFQ, price benchmarking, and contract execution.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin to facilitate direct communication with international suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform cost calculations and financial assessments.
- Prior experience in cloud services/IT procurement or legal contract management is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for supplier management and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
