Job Description
The Senior Product Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and product strategy through a collaborative, user-centered approach. This position is responsible for translating business goals into intuitive design solutions, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility and market demands. The role involves working closely with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless digital experiences. Key responsibilities include creating wireframes and visual designs for new product ideas and scopes, conducting user research and testing early in the product development lifecycle, and leveraging customer feedback, user session recordings, and product insights to refine UX outcomes. The designer will also drive the development of a cohesive design system that supports scalability and consistency across the application, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build wireframes and visual designs for new product ideas and scopes, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
- Conduct user research and testing early in the product development process to identify pain points and validate design concepts.
- Leverage customer feedback, user session recordings, and product insights to drive continuous UX improvements and iterate on design solutions.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to streamline workflows and ensure design deliverables meet technical and business requirements.
- Partner with engineering to develop a reusable design system that maintains visual and functional consistency across the application.
- Lead design reviews and present ideas to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Document design decisions and maintain a design library for future reference and reuse.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance design innovation and user engagement.
- Coordinate with QA teams to ensure design specifications are accurately implemented and tested.
- Support the creation of user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to inform design decisions.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles and digital product development.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar, with a focus on creating interactive prototypes and high-fidelity visual designs.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts, collaborate with stakeholders, and lead cross-functional discussions.
- Ability to conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather actionable insights and validate design assumptions.
- Strong understanding of UX methodologies, including user research, information architecture, and accessibility standards.
- Experience in developing and maintaining a scalable design system with reusable components, ensuring consistency across platforms and devices.
- Knowledge of agile development practices and the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments with tight deadlines.
- Ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints and business priorities to deliver optimal user experiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing design challenges and user feedback.
- Education in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field is preferred, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in design or a technical discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all design deliverables, including wireframes, mockups, and user flows.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of design projects while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Experience with analytics tools to measure user behavior and evaluate the impact of design changes on user engagement.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats to support design documentation and presentations.
