Job Description
The Game Operations Specialist will be responsible for developing comprehensive operational strategies for games, including version scheduling, event systems, user lifecycle management, and long-term operational planning. This role serves as the key liaison between operations and R&D teams, leading requirement communication, documentation, feature reviews, version tracking, testing acceptance, launch coordination, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overall game operation strategies covering version planning, event systems, user lifecycle management, and long-term operation roadmaps
- Serve as primary liaison between operations and R&D teams, leading requirement communication, documentation, feature reviews, version tracking, testing, and launch coordination
- Manage game operation backend configurations including event setups, channel packaging, server merges/launches, maintenance announcements, parameter settings, and troubleshooting
- Design data tracking plans, define events, establish indicator systems, and coordinate with R&D for implementation and validation
- Utilize third-party analytics and attribution platforms to conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, channel quality, campaign effectiveness, retention and monetization
- Integrate and manage third-party SDKs for channels, advertising, and monetization, assisting R&D with implementation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Establish standardized operation processes to enhance efficiency and version delivery quality
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of game operation experience, preferably with mid-core/hardcore mobile/online games and version operation leadership
- Expertise in game development workflows with ability to independently produce PRDs, requirement specs, tracking docs, and event logic configurations
- Proficiency with analytics and attribution tools including Adjust, AppsFlyer, Sensor Tower, GTM, and various data platforms
- Familiarity with common SDK integrations including payment, advertising, push notifications, and analytics
- Strong data analysis skills to identify issues and propose operational/product improvements
- Excellent cross-team coordination and communication skills to drive R&D implementation
- Leadership experience or full-cycle game launch participation preferred
