Job Description:
The Senior SEO Specialist will work remotely and must be fluent in English. This role focuses on developing and implementing SEO strategies for multilingual websites (e.g., Russian, Arabic, Spanish) to drive organic traffic and conversion growth across diverse markets. Responsibilities include conducting multilingual keyword research, optimizing content titles, descriptions, URLs, and internal links for SEO-friendliness, and coordinating with content, translation, design, and technical teams to ensure efficient content deployment. The specialist will also manage hreflang tags, site structure, crawling, and indexing while monitoring SEO performance metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, and click-through rates. Additionally, staying updated on search algorithm changes and user behavior trends in different language markets is crucial. The role may involve assisting in managing multilingual content teams or interns to maintain content quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute SEO strategies for multilingual websites to enhance organic traffic and conversions.
- Conduct keyword research tailored to local search behaviors and optimize content accordingly.
- Review and refine multilingual content elements (titles, descriptions, structure, URLs, internal links) for SEO compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, translation, design, tech) to streamline content launches and page optimizations.
- Oversee hreflang tags, site architecture, crawling, and indexing to improve site health.
- Track SEO performance metrics and generate optimization reports.
- Stay informed about search algorithm updates and user trends in target markets.
- Support multilingual content teams/interns to ensure quality and workflow efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of SEO experience; multilingual site optimization is a plus.
- Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO).
- Proficiency with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA.
- Practical knowledge of hreflang implementation, international site structures, and content localization.
- Analytical mindset with strong project management and cross-departmental communication skills.
- Experience leading regional SEO initiatives or building strategies from scratch is preferred.
- Bonus: Reading proficiency in languages like Russian, Arabic, Spanish, or French.
