Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Smart Contract Engineer specializing in the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical smart contracts while implementing robust monitoring systems to ensure their reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on EVM-compatible blockchains
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for smart contract operations
- Conduct thorough testing and auditing of smart contracts to ensure security and functionality
- Optimize gas usage and improve contract performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate smart contracts with front-end applications
- Stay updated with the latest developments in blockchain technology and EVM improvements
- Document contract architecture and provide technical guidance to junior team members
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in smart contract development with a focus on EVM
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM bytecode
- Experience with smart contract security best practices and common vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with development tools like Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for blockchain applications
- Understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with formal verification of smart contracts
- Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
- Knowledge of Layer 2 scaling solutions
- Experience with other blockchain platforms beyond EVM
