Job Description
We are seeking a Senior/Staff Smart Contract Engineer to lead the design and development of core protocols for Base Chain Prop AMM, including active pricing curves, market-making logic, Vault liquidity management, and settlement mechanisms. You will take ownership of end-to-end DEX Aggregator design, prototype development, and performance optimization, covering liquidity discovery, routing calculations, transaction construction, execution latency, and price optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integration with Jupiter, Relay, KyberSwap, Uniswap and other EVM/Solana ecosystem liquidity sources and aggregation protocols
- Integrate Chainlink or other high-frequency oracles to build real-time price update mechanisms and support off-chain market-making model-driven on-chain parameter adjustments
- Research and design DeFi mechanisms including lending, liquidation, collateral management, and oracle pricing
- Optimize transaction execution priorities, routing efficiency, Gas consumption, and design protection mechanisms against MEV, Toxic Flow, sandwich attacks, flash loan attacks, and oracle manipulation
- Study Solana Prop AMM architecture and best practices (Oracle-driven Quoting, high-performance execution, active liquidity management) and adapt relevant designs to Base and EVM Sequencer environments
- Develop protocols and supporting services using Solidity, Rust, Anchor, TypeScript, ethers.js, viem, web3.js
- Conduct smart contract testing, security reviews, stress testing, Invariant Testing and Gas optimization to ensure protocol safety under high TVL and transaction concurrency
- Collaborate closely with market makers, researchers, front-end engineers, infrastructure engineers, product managers, and external audit teams
- Contribute to protocol architecture, engineering standards, security specifications, and system scalability with technical leadership
Job Requirements
- 8-10+ years of software engineering experience (Staff level), with minimum 3 years in blockchain/smart contract development
- Strong Solidity skills with expertise in Foundry, Hardhat, EVM storage layout, Gas optimization, proxy patterns, upgradeable contracts, and smart contract security
- Deep understanding of DEX Aggregators and smart routing systems (Jupiter, Relay, KyberSwap, 1inch or similar)
- Experience taking DEX Aggregators from prototype to production (routing design, liquidity integration, latency optimization, trade execution)
- Expertise in AMM mechanisms (Uniswap V2/V3, Concentrated Liquidity, active liquidity management, Prop AMM, Order Book, market-making systems)
- Proven track record developing high TVL/high-volume smart contracts, DeFi protocols or on-chain infrastructure
- Knowledge of core DeFi mechanisms (lending, liquidation, collateral systems, oracles, flash loans, MEV protection)
- Familiarity with EVM and/or Solana tech stacks (Solidity, Rust, Anchor, TypeScript, ethers.js, viem, web3.js)
- Experience designing and scaling high-throughput, low-latency or distributed systems
- Understanding of modern system architecture best practices for security, performance, reliability and availability
- Strong English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct development experience with DEX Aggregators, Prop AMM, RFQ, Order Book, Solver or professional market-making infrastructure
- Knowledge of Solana Prop AMM and Oracle-driven Liquidity architectures (HumidiFi, Tessera or similar)
- Understanding of Base Sequencer, transaction ordering, Private Order Flow and EVM execution environments
- Familiarity with Ethereum Client internals (Geth, Reth)
- Knowledge of database fundamentals, distributed databases, parallel execution, protocol scaling and high-performance data systems
- Background in Scaling, Parallelization, Consensus Protocols, Distributed Systems or Cryptography
- Experience leading technical teams or making architecture decisions for production systems
