Job Description
The role of Incubation Lead is pivotal in identifying, nurturing, and accelerating high-potential projects within the blockchain ecosystem. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive the growth of the ecosystem by selecting projects with strong potential, solid teams, and scalable products. The Incubation Lead will be responsible for transforming these projects into flagship assets for the blockchain through resource integration, strategic guidance, product optimization, growth support, fundraising, and market exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ecosystem Project Screening: Identify high-potential projects from various sources, including ecosystem pools, BD referrals, hackathons, developer communities, and external partnerships.
- Incubation Framework Development: Establish a structured incubation system, including project selection criteria, incubation processes, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and exit strategies.
- Product & Business Model Guidance: Assist projects in refining their product direction, user journey, core features, use cases, and growth mechanisms. Help them define their business models, revenue streams, and competitive advantages.
- Tokenomics & Growth Strategy: Support projects in designing effective token models, including utility, distribution, incentives, liquidity, and long-term value capture.
- Resource Coordination: Mobilize internal and external resources such as technical support, marketing exposure, community engagement, grants, mentorship, investor connections, exchange listings, and liquidity solutions.
- Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships: Prepare projects for fundraising by refining pitch decks, business plans, and partnership proposals. Connect them with investors, exchanges, launchpads, market makers, and media.
- Flagship Project Development: Build showcase projects that demonstrate the ecosystem’s potential and serve as replicable success stories.
- Project Management: Track project progress, manage deliverables, and conduct regular reviews to ensure alignment with goals.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in projects, including team instability, weak execution, flawed tokenomics, inflated metrics, or compliance issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, computer science, blockchain, economics, product management, investment, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in Web3, blockchain ecosystems, project incubation, investment research, accelerators, or startup management.
- Strong project evaluation skills, with the ability to assess teams, markets, products, technology, business models, and tokenomics.
- Familiarity with Web3 sectors like DeFi, GameFi, AI, SocialFi, RWA, payments, wallets, DEXs, and infrastructure.
- Excellent resource coordination skills, capable of engaging with technical teams, investors, exchanges, market makers, KOLs, and media.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, able to produce reports, incubation plans, and fundraising materials.
- Proficiency in English for communication with global teams, investors, and partners.
- Proactive leadership to drive collaboration among project teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in blockchain ecosystem funds, Web3 accelerators, exchange launchpads, VC, FA, or early-stage investments.
- Hands-on involvement in Web3 projects from inception to growth, fundraising, or exchange listing.
- Knowledge of incubation mechanisms on chains like BNB Chain, Solana, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, Sui, Aptos, Arbitrum, or Optimism.
- Existing networks with investors, exchanges, market makers, media, KOLs, or developer communities.
- Expertise in tokenomics design, fundraising strategy, growth hacking, or community building.
- Track record of successful project incubation or involvement in notable Web3 projects.
