Job Description
This role involves comprehensive testing of on-chain transaction systems, covering functionalities such as trading, quoting, routing, transaction status, ledger data, user wallets, and asset data. The candidate will design test cases based on product and business requirements to ensure system correctness, stability, and minimal failure rates. Key focus areas include the entire transaction lifecycle—initiation, routing, submission, on-chain confirmation, status updates, and ledger/wallet balance changes.
The position also requires testing for abnormal scenarios like transaction failures, pending states, insufficient balances, gas shortages, Nonce anomalies, RPC errors, and duplicate submissions. The candidate will utilize packet capture tools, logs, databases, and Linux systems for troubleshooting and assist developers in analyzing transaction failures and live anomalies.
Additional responsibilities include writing test scripts for automating core transaction workflows and regression validation to enhance efficiency and coverage. The role also involves participating in version releases, regression testing, and tracking issue resolutions to maintain system stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end testing of on-chain transaction systems (trading, routing, ledger updates, etc.).
- Design test cases for normal, edge, and failure scenarios.
- Investigate transaction anomalies (e.g., failures, pending states, gas issues) using tools like Wireshark or Fiddler.
- Develop automation scripts (Python/Java/Go/JavaScript) for regression and data validation.
- Collaborate with developers to diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Support release cycles and ensure post-deployment stability.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of software testing experience; blockchain/wallet/DEX/trading systems preferred.
- Hands-on experience with on-chain transactions (Gas, Nonce, Transaction Hash, etc.).
- Proficiency in API testing (Postman, Charles) and SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Basic Linux skills for log analysis and troubleshooting.
- Programming knowledge in Python/Java/Go/JavaScript for test automation.
- Familiarity with pytest, JMeter, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EVM chains (Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum) or Solana.
- Testing background in wallets, DEXs, cross-chain protocols, or trading bots.
- Knowledge of Docker, Redis, Kafka, or high-throughput systems.
- Exposure to stress/load testing methodologies.
