Itoka

Itoka is a decentralized music platform designed to achieve data autonomy, persistence of music storage, digital rights management, global accessibility of music, and creator governance. Itoka was co-founded by Malcolm Yang and Yihao Chen, with the aim of “tokenizing” music content, especially content generated by artificial intelligence, on the blockchain. This allows creators to independently license their content and receive compensation for each use. Itoka plans to temporarily hold the ownership of the songs and grant creators full permission for commercial use, while also preventing plagiarism and “illegal monetization” on its platform.
