Linea is a type of zk-rollup that was designed by ConsenSys R&D and operated by ConsenSys. It allows developers to deploy any smart contract using any tools, and they can develop them in the same way as they would on Ethereum. For users, this enables the same Ethereum experience and security guarantees, but at lower transaction costs.
