Job Description
This role is responsible for overseeing the entire content planning and production lifecycle. The incumbent will develop and execute editorial strategies that align with brand guidelines, product marketing documentation, and messaging frameworks. Key tasks include creating content calendars, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring content quality across multiple channels. The position requires managing content workflows to meet deadlines, while integrating content analytics to refine editorial decisions. Responsibilities also encompass launching new content marketing initiatives and optimizing existing channels for maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead content planning and production processes from concept to delivery, including editorial calendar development, briefing sessions, and content creation for both nontechnical and light-technical audiences
- Coordinate with internal staff and external agencies to ensure timely completion of content deliverables across platforms such as social media, websites, and sales collateral materials
- Conduct market research to identify content opportunities, create detailed briefs for writers and designers, and produce content that meets brand voice and product positioning requirements
- Implement SEO best practices to enhance content discoverability and engagement, while maintaining alignment with overall marketing objectives
- Develop and test content hypotheses through A/B testing and data analysis to improve effectiveness and ROI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align quarterly content goals with business objectives and revenue targets
- Design and optimize content production workflows, including onboarding of writers and agencies, deliverable tracking systems, and quality assurance processes
- Monitor content performance metrics and use insights to refine editorial strategies and improve content outcomes
- Ensure consistency in content creation by adhering to brand guidelines and messaging frameworks across all materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify content gaps and opportunities for innovation
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in content strategy development and execution, preferably in a marketing or communications role
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques
- Excellent project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliverables
- Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms, including CMS systems and design software
- Ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Experience with content analytics platforms and A/B testing methodologies
- Strong communication skills with ability to create detailed briefs and collaborate with writers/designers
- Knowledge of brand management principles and messaging strategy frameworks
