Job Description
As a JavaScript Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experience of our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to transform creative concepts into functional, user-centric solutions. This position requires a strong focus on both technical excellence and user satisfaction, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of performance, accessibility, and aesthetics. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining frontend applications using modern technologies, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of our product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the design team to conceptualize and ideate new products or features, translating visual designs into interactive user interfaces
- Design and implement compelling user experiences by conducting user research, creating wireframes, and optimizing interface elements for usability and performance
- Develop scalable frontend applications using TypeScript, web components, React, and Next.js frameworks, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- Convert Figma design mockups into modular, reusable, and optimized UI components that align with our technical architecture and design system
- Propose innovative ideas to enhance existing products, leveraging your technical expertise to identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead end-to-end initiatives from concept to delivery, including planning, development, testing, and deployment of frontend features
- Collaborate with backend engineers and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge
- Document code and technical decisions to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing within the team
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes and standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing frontend applications with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in React and Next.js frameworks, with experience in building production-ready web applications
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development concepts including state management, component architecture, and responsive design
- Experience with web components and/or modern CSS methodologies (Flexbox, Grid, CSS-in-JS)
- Ability to interpret Figma design files and convert them into functional UI components with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating intuitive, accessible user interfaces
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and backend engineers
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with frontend frameworks beyond React (e.g., Vue.js, Angular)
- Knowledge of backend technologies (Node.js, RESTful APIs) for full-stack development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
- Background in UX/UI design or user research methodologies
- Proficiency in TypeScript with advanced type system features
- Experience with performance profiling tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest)
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Ability to mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for deploying frontend applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating frontend development expertise and creative problem-solving
