Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead investment sourcing efforts by proactively identifying promising crypto infrastructure projects (Defi, Cefi, etc.) through market research, networking, and industry analysis. Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential investment targets while conducting rigorous due diligence to assess viability and alignment with firm objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on investment prospects, including financial analysis, technical evaluation, competitive benchmarking, and regulatory compliance checks. Synthesize findings into actionable insights to inform investment decisions and portfolio strategy.
• Provide ongoing support to Wintermute portfolio founders through regular communication, strategic guidance, and operational assistance. Collaborate with founders to refine business models, scale operations, and achieve long-term goals.
• Actively contribute to the growth of the blockchain/cryptocurrency community by organizing events, engaging with industry stakeholders, and creating content that promotes Wintermute Ventures' mission and values. Develop relationships with local and global crypto entrepreneurs to enhance the firm's ecosystem presence.
• Manage administrative functions across the venture business, including coordination with auditors, custody providers, and cap table management software. Ensure seamless execution of operational tasks while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in investment research, due diligence, or venture capital operations within blockchain/cryptocurrency space. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial and technical data to evaluate investment potential.
• Strong understanding of crypto infrastructure ecosystems, including DeFi protocols, Cefi platforms, and blockchain technologies. Familiarity with market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory frameworks in the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with founders, investors, and industry professionals. Ability to articulate value propositions and negotiate terms effectively.
• Proficiency in using cap table management software, blockchain analytics tools, and project management platforms. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions and business priorities while maintaining high standards of performance.
• Preferred: Experience in venture capital, private equity, or angel investing. Familiarity with blockchain development, smart contract auditing, or token economics frameworks. Strong background in financial modeling and data analysis.
