Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, market narratives, and macroeconomic factors within the Web3 ecosystem. This includes monitoring industry reports, analyzing blockchain technologies, and staying informed about regulatory changes that may impact the sector.
• Participate in diligence calls and due diligence efforts to evaluate potential investments. This involves assessing financial health, business models, and market viability of target companies, with a focus on risk mitigation and value creation.
• Perform competitive analysis and market landscaping for specific companies. Utilize tools like SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces, and benchmarking to identify competitive advantages, market positioning, and growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute ad hoc projects to improve investment and due diligence processes. This may include creating new analytical frameworks, automating data collection workflows, or enhancing risk assessment models.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing findings, market insights, and investment recommendations with clear data visualization and actionable takeaways.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure investment decisions align with regulatory requirements and ethical standards, particularly in high-risk or novel asset classes.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on evolving Web3 technologies, market trends, and investment strategies, ensuring expertise remains current and relevant.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or related fields with a focus on blockchain or digital assets. Minimum of 2 years in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel, Python, or SQL is required.
• Excellent communication abilities to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with creating compelling visualizations and reports is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Web3 technologies, including blockchain protocols, decentralized finance (DeFi), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Familiarity with industry-specific terminology is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills are needed to handle fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. Experience in fostering partnerships with entrepreneurs and developers is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial analysis and market research. Experience with due diligence processes in venture capital or private equity is preferred.
