Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure, auditable, and high-performance smart contracts for DeFi protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications for smart contract functionality.
• Conduct rigorous code audits on existing contracts, identify vulnerabilities, and propose optimization strategies to enhance security and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools like Truffle, Hardhat, or Mocha to ensure contract reliability under various scenarios.
• Participate in the design and implementation of decentralized applications (dApps) that leverage smart contracts for lending, borrowing, trading, or yield generation.
• Document contract logic, interactions, and security measures to facilitate onboarding of new team members and future maintenance efforts.
• Engage in continuous learning and experimentation with emerging blockchain technologies, cross-chain solutions, and novel DeFi use cases.
• Coordinate with external auditors and security experts to ensure third-party validation of critical smart contract components.
• Monitor and analyze blockchain network performance metrics to optimize gas costs and transaction throughput for our contracts.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to the strategic direction of our DeFi product roadmap through innovative contract design.

Job Requirements

• Proven expertise in blockchain development with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
• Advanced proficiency in Solidity (v0.8.x preferred), including mastery of security patterns, gas optimization techniques, and contract best practices.
• Strong understanding of DeFi protocols, including lending, stablecoins, yield farming, and decentralized exchanges, with hands-on experience in at least two of these domains.
• Experience with blockchain development tools such as Truffle, Hardhat, Remix, and Ethers.js, along with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to conduct thorough security audits using frameworks like OpenZeppelin, Slither, or MythX, and demonstrate a track record of identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep technical understanding of cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, and blockchain architecture.
• Collaborative mindset with proven experience in working within agile development teams and cross-functional collaboration environments.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document complex contract logic.
• Preferred: Experience with cross-chain bridges, zero-knowledge proofs, or other advanced blockchain technologies that enable innovative DeFi solutions.
• Preferred: Familiarity with DeFi governance models, on-chain analytics tools, and regulatory compliance frameworks for blockchain projects.
