Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from ideation to execution, including specifications, workflow design, interaction design, and high-fidelity visual creation. Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and are technically feasible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft a brand strategy that authentically represents Capsule's mission and vision. This includes developing visual systems, tone of voice guidelines, and brand assets that resonate with target audiences.
- Conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Translate these insights into elegant, intuitive design solutions that enhance user satisfaction and drive engagement.
- Design products from first principles, focusing on innovation and differentiation in a competitive market. This involves challenging conventional approaches and creating unique experiences that set Capsule apart.
- Work closely with stakeholders and end-users to iterate and refine designs. Gather feedback through usability testing, A/B testing, and collaborative workshops to ensure the final product meets business goals and user needs.
- Stay updated on design trends and technologies, applying new knowledge to improve existing processes and explore emerging opportunities. Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous evolution of Capsule's design standards.
- Document design decisions and processes to ensure clarity and consistency across teams. Create reusable design systems and templates that streamline development and maintain brand integrity.
- Support the development of design guidelines and best practices that can be applied across all product lines. This includes creating style guides, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards for a seamless user experience.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills including UI/UX, visual design, and interaction design. Demonstrated ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and deliver functional designs.
- Excellent understanding of design theory and methodology, including user-centered design, information architecture, and design systems. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping software is essential.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders. Experience in translating complex requirements into user-friendly designs is required.
- Ability to think strategically about brand identity and market positioning. This includes developing cohesive visual systems, tone of voice guidelines, and brand assets that align with business objectives.
- Experience in user research methodologies, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Ability to analyze data and create actionable insights to inform design decisions.
