Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of PBS protocols, Ethereum L2 frameworks, and the technical trade-offs inherent in different rollup architectures.
- Collaborate with rollup teams to design and implement decentralized sequencer systems, ensuring fault tolerance, censorship resistance, and network security.
- Research, prototype, and evaluate advanced L2 PBS designs, including MEV-Boost mechanisms and MEV auction frameworks, to optimize transaction throughput and minimize gas costs.
- Engage with the Ethereum Foundation and community stakeholders to explore long-term pathways for enshrined PBS, balancing innovation with protocol stability.
- Conduct technical analysis of existing rollup solutions, identify performance limitations, and propose scalable upgrades to support growing user demand.
- Document architectural decisions, maintain technical specifications, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams and external partners.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in blockchain development, with a strong focus on Ethereum L2 protocols and rollup technologies (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon).
- Advanced knowledge of cryptographic principles, consensus algorithms, and decentralized systems design to ensure secure PBS implementations.
- Expertise in smart contract programming (Solidity) and decentralized application (dApp) development for building and maintaining rollup infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of MEV (Miner Extractable Value) dynamics, including MEV-Boost and MEV auction mechanisms, to mitigate risks and optimize on-chain behavior.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical trade-offs between scalability, security, and decentralization in L2 PBS systems.
- Ability to collaborate with researchers, developers, and community members to drive innovation in Ethereum's Layer 2 ecosystem.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for stakeholders and developers.
- Preferred: Experience with decentralized governance models, protocol design, and open-source development practices.
Technical Scope
This role requires a technical focus on optimizing rollup performance through research into PBS design patterns, MEV-Boost integration, and auction-based revenue models.
