Job Description
Seeking a dynamic professional to drive business development initiatives for Ripple, focusing on expanding its presence in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem and cross-border payment solutions. This role involves identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships with key players in the financial services, fintech, and digital asset infrastructure sectors. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing and executing high-impact crypto deals, leveraging industry platforms, databases, and networking events to uncover new opportunities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align business strategies with product development, marketing efforts, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the identification and evaluation of new crypto deal opportunities by actively monitoring DeFi platforms, financial databases, and participating in industry conferences, meetups, and networking events.
  • Facilitate and guide high-level discussions with prospective partners, presenting Ripple's XRP Ledger integration capabilities and traditional business structures to align on potential collaboration frameworks.
  • Participate in drafting and negotiating deal terms, preparing comprehensive internal memos to secure approvals and ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key Ripple partners, including payment processors, fintech firms, financial institutions, digital asset infrastructure providers, and technology companies, to enhance market penetration and partnership value.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements with strategic partners, prioritizing outcomes that drive transaction volume, revenue growth, and long-term business value for Ripple.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business development teams and cross-functional departments such as marketing, product, sales, compliance, legal, and finance to ensure seamless strategy execution and customer-centric solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative use cases for cross-border payments and crypto-enabled products, aligning with Ripple's vision for global financial inclusion and blockchain adoption.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development within the blockchain, DeFi, or fintech industry, with a strong track record of closing high-value partnerships and transactions.
  • Deep understanding of XRP Ledger technology, smart contract ecosystems, and digital asset infrastructure to effectively communicate Ripple's value proposition to potential partners.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal structuring skills, with the ability to navigate complex contractual frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build trust with partners, articulate technical concepts in non-technical terms, and represent Ripple's interests effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, evolving markets.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and developing data-driven strategies to optimize business outcomes.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, along with certifications in blockchain technology or digital asset management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the cryptocurrency or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of DeFi protocols, blockchain infrastructure, and cross-border payment systems to evaluate partnership potential and technical feasibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market opportunities, quantify business impact, and develop actionable strategies for deal execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results within tight deadlines and across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish) being a plus for global collaboration and communication.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in financial services to ensure all business activities meet legal standards.
  • Preferred background in fintech, blockchain development, or digital asset trading, with a demonstrated ability to innovate and adapt to emerging technologies.
