Job Description
As a backend engineer specializing in web3 technologies, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web3 backend services. This includes developing and optimizing blockchain browsers, cross-chain bridges, and staking systems to ensure seamless user experiences and robust infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet evolving business needs while maintaining system reliability and security. Key tasks involve analyzing system requirements, architecting backend components, and deploying services with high availability and fault tolerance. Continuous improvement of system performance and scalability will be a core focus, alongside monitoring and maintaining service health in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend architectures for blockchain-based applications, including browsers, cross-chain bridges, and staking platforms.
- Implement and optimize high-performance systems to ensure low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance under heavy workloads.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to define requirements and deliver backend solutions aligned with business goals.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues, leveraging deep technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective fixes.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance benchmarking to maintain code quality and system reliability.
- Stay updated on emerging web3 technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation in backend development.
- Document system designs, APIs, and technical processes to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Monitor system metrics and implement automated scaling strategies to handle traffic spikes and ensure service continuity.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in distributed systems design and development, with a strong understanding of storage solutions (e.g., IPFS, Filecoin), computing frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), message queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and cluster management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Node.js, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Deep knowledge of blockchain protocols, smart contract development, and consensus mechanisms to support web3 backend innovations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of troubleshooting production systems under pressure and delivering timely resolutions.
- Ability to analyze system bottlenecks and optimize performance through architectural improvements and code refactoring.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) for scalable deployments.
- Passion for open-source technologies and a commitment to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving web3 ecosystem.
