Job Description
We are seeking experienced and creative Freelance Pixel Art Animators to join our team in creating high-quality animated GIFs that align with a distinct pixel art style. These animations will be utilized across Discord and Telegram platforms to enhance user engagement, brand identity, and community interaction. The project involves a structured workflow where candidates will produce a minimum of 10 animated GIFs in the initial phase, followed by potential additional rounds requiring 10 more GIFs each. Each animation must maintain visual consistency with the project's thematic elements and adhere to technical specifications for optimal platform performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and animate GIFs using pixel art techniques, ensuring artistic creativity and technical precision
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand branding guidelines and content requirements
- Develop animations that are optimized for mobile and desktop viewing on Discord and Telegram
- Ensure all deliverables maintain a cohesive visual style across multiple assets
- Provide iterative feedback and revisions based on client input and quality checks
- Submit work in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and resolution standards
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in pixel art animation with a portfolio showcasing relevant work
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Aseprite, Photoshop, or GIMP
- Strong understanding of animation principles including timing, motion, and frame rates
- Ability to create animations that are both visually appealing and technically efficient
- Excellent communication skills for discussing creative concepts and receiving feedback
- Experience working with digital assets for social media platforms and online communities
- Knowledge of Discord and Telegram's design systems and user interface requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Experience with version control and file organization for collaborative workflows
- Understanding of color theory and pixel art color palettes for consistent branding
Project Details
This is a long-term project with opportunities for ongoing collaboration. The initial phase requires the creation of 10 unique animated GIFs, each with a defined purpose such as user interface elements, notification icons, or community activity visuals. Additional rounds may involve creating 10 more GIFs, depending on the project's success and client demand. Candidates should be prepared to work within tight deadlines while maintaining the quality and creativity of their work.
