Job Description
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to ensure the company's cryptocurrency business operations comply with international and local regulatory requirements. The position involves close collaboration with management, business teams, and external stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and maintain compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to company management and business departments regarding products, operational activities, potential regulatory issues, business risks, and compliance matters
- Offer specialized legal guidance for cryptocurrency operations, particularly futures and spot trading, ensuring alignment with target country regulations and international legal frameworks
- Develop and maintain the company's compliance system including drafting user agreements and establishing KYC/AML processes that meet regulatory standards
- Serve as the company's representative when communicating with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and external legal counsel
- Identify and highlight legal risks throughout business operations and processes
- Provide legal analysis for potential cryptocurrency-related commercial transactions, new product offerings, customer terms, vendor contracts, and marketing materials
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency regulations and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven experience in legal advisory roles within financial services or technology sectors
- Excellent knowledge of KYC/AML procedures and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Ability to interpret and apply complex legal regulations to business operations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for interfacing with regulators and external parties
- Demonstrated team spirit and ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents including user agreements and commercial contracts
- Analytical mindset with strong risk assessment capabilities
