Job Description
The role involves designing and developing core modules of derivative trading systems, ensuring their correctness, stability, and scalability. You will be responsible for the research and development of risk hedging and trade execution systems, continuously improving automation and performance. Additionally, you will build monitoring and alerting systems for trading and risk management to safeguard system and fund security. Ensuring precision, consistency, and reliability in core financial calculations and data, you will establish comprehensive testing and quality assurance frameworks. Close collaboration with the trading team is essential to efficiently translate trading and risk control requirements into robust and scalable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop core modules of derivative trading systems, ensuring correctness, stability, and scalability.
- Research and develop risk hedging and trade execution systems, focusing on automation and performance optimization.
- Build monitoring and alerting systems for trading and risk management to ensure system and fund security.
- Ensure precision, consistency, and reliability in core financial calculations and data, establishing robust testing and quality assurance frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with the trading team to translate trading and risk control requirements into stable and scalable engineering implementations.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in quantitative or trading system development, with hands-on experience in live trading or risk control systems.
- Strong trading mindset: deep understanding of derivative risk sources, including hedging, exposure, margin, and settlement concepts.
- High regard for production and fund safety, with an instinctive caution toward code quality and deployment due to potential financial impacts.
- Solid derivative knowledge: familiarity with option Greeks, volatility, and structured product risk logic.
- Excellent engineering skills: proficiency in Python (async, typed), modern web frameworks, and relational databases, with the ability to write correct, testable, and maintainable code.
- Strong intuition for numerical precision, concurrency safety, and data reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cryptocurrency exchange integrations, market making, or hedging.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated hedging, execution algorithms, or risk limit systems.
- Background in building derivative trading or risk management systems.
- Experience independently leading core system development in fast-growing teams.
