Job Description
The Data Lead will be responsible for establishing and executing the company's data strategy, building scalable data infrastructure, and leading cross-functional data initiatives to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Strategy & Team Leadership: Develop comprehensive data architecture and team structure. Manage data development, analytics, BI, and infrastructure teams while fostering data-driven decision making culture.
- Data Platform Engineering: Design and optimize data warehouse, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time streaming, and metric platforms. Implement robust data governance with quality monitoring and lineage tracking.
- Exchange Data Systems: Build specialized data solutions for exchange operations including user accounts, transactions, assets, liquidity, risk management, and marketing programs with consistent metric definitions.
- Business Intelligence: Partner with executive leadership and functional teams to translate business needs into analytical models, BI dashboards, and self-service data products.
- Advanced Analytics: Develop customer lifecycle analysis, channel attribution models, and performance monitoring frameworks to identify growth opportunities and operational risks.
- Data Governance: Establish security protocols, access controls, and compliance procedures for sensitive financial and user data in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related technical field
- 8+ years in data engineering/platform development with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience in centralized exchange operations including spot/derivatives trading, wallet systems, and risk management
- Expertise in data warehouse design, real-time processing (Kafka/Flink), and modern BI tools
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python/Java/Scala with big data technologies
- Exceptional business acumen to connect data insights with commercial outcomes
- Bilingual communication skills for global team collaboration
