Job Description
As a core member of the trading technology team, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and maintenance of high-performance trading systems. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets and quantitative trading principles, with a focus on enhancing system efficiency, ensuring operational stability, and supporting scalable architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet evolving business needs while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve trading systems to achieve optimal speed, stability, and scalability, including performance tuning, code refactoring, and architecture optimization
  • Implement quantitative trading systems from concept to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and adherence to risk management protocols
  • Research and develop advanced quantitative trading strategies, utilizing statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify market opportunities
  • Build and maintain real-time and backtesting engines for strategy validation, including data processing pipelines and execution frameworks
  • Collaborate with data scientists and traders to translate market insights into executable trading algorithms
  • Monitor system performance metrics and implement improvements to ensure reliable, high-throughput trading operations
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, and system workflows for internal knowledge sharing and onboarding
  • Participate in system stress testing and capacity planning to ensure robustness under extreme market conditions
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for system modernization
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for trading system issues during market hours and after-hours maintenance windows
Job Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 5+ years of experience in trading systems development
  • Proficiency in C++/Python for high-performance computing tasks and algorithm development
  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and microservices design patterns
  • Strong understanding of financial market data structures and order book mechanics
  • Knowledge of low-latency networking protocols and message queue systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for storing and retrieving market data and trade records
  • Ability to design and implement real-time data processing pipelines using technologies like Apache Flink or Spark Streaming
  • Working knowledge of quantitative finance concepts including stochastic calculus, risk modeling, and portfolio optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to debug complex system issues under pressure
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with traders, data scientists, and product managers
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
  • Preferred: Certification in quantitative trading (e.g., CFA, FRM) or experience with blockchain-based trading platforms
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable infrastructure deployment
  • Preferred: Experience with quantitative trading backtesting frameworks (e.g., Backtrader, QuantConnect)
