Job Description
The role is responsible for the overall operational strategy and business planning of the exchange, setting phased operational goals and driving their implementation, while being accountable for core business metrics such as trading users, trading volume, revenue, activity, and retention. The position oversees spot trading, contracts, user growth, campaigns, and platform operations, continuously optimizing the full lifecycle management of users from registration, deposit, trading to retention. Based on market trends, user behavior, and operational data, the incumbent will formulate growth strategies to consistently expand the trading user base, enhance trading activity, and maximize user value. Key responsibilities also include planning and executing major operational and growth initiatives, establishing cost, risk, and ROI evaluation mechanisms, and conducting regular business reviews and strategy optimizations. Additionally, the role involves managing the operations team, including goal decomposition, task allocation, process management, and team development to improve overall delivery efficiency. Close collaboration with product, technology, marketing, BD, and risk control teams is essential to drive key business initiatives and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement exchange-wide operational strategies and business plans
- Set and achieve phased operational targets for core metrics (users, volume, revenue, retention)
- Manage spot/contract trading, user growth, campaigns, and platform operations
- Optimize user lifecycle from registration to retention through data-driven strategies
- Design and execute major growth initiatives with ROI and risk assessment
- Lead operational team with goal-setting, task delegation, and performance management
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with product/tech/marketing/risk teams
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategy optimizations
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in crypto/Web3/CEX operations with 3+ years in team leadership
- Proven CEX platform experience (spot/contract trading operations preferred)
- Strong business acumen with P&L ownership of core trading metrics
- Excellent data analysis and strategic planning capabilities
- Demonstrated team management and cross-department coordination skills
- Deep understanding of crypto markets and user needs with result-driven mindset
- Preferred: Prior experience as CEX Operations Director or successful 0→1 growth cases
Benefits
13-month salary + holiday benefits. Compensation range: $8,000-$13,000 USD equivalent monthly.
