Job Description
This role focuses on driving business growth through strategic partnerships and client management in the DeFi/blockchain space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our protocol's reach by onboarding new clients and managing key institutional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- New Client Acquisition & Protocol Sales: Proactively identify, engage, and onboard potential partners (including DeFi protocols, wallets, exchanges, asset management protocols, and derivatives protocols) to integrate our protocol/smart contracts, driving direct trading volume and liquidity.
- Key Account Management (Whales/Institutions): Lead negotiations and partnerships with market makers, investment funds, and large liquidity providers to ensure deep liquidity for core trading pairs. Maintain long-term relationships to ensure continued protocol usage.
- Quantifiable Sales Targets:
- Core KPIs: Directly responsible for growth in monthly trading volume and Total Value Locked (TVL) from onboarded protocols.
- Partnership Metrics: Achieve a set number of strategic technical integrations and partnerships.
- Revenue Impact: Your contributions in trading volume and liquidity will directly translate to protocol revenue, with performance tightly linked to compensation.
Job Requirements
- Proven Sales Track Record: 2+ years of successful BD or institutional sales experience in blockchain/DeFi, with verifiable cases of driving significant TVL or trading volume growth.
- Deep Industry Network: Established connections in Web3, with direct access to project founders and key decision-makers (e.g., top protocols, CEXs/DEXs, market makers, investment firms).
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to grasp concepts like smart contracts, liquidity pools, and cross-chain bridges. Can collaborate with tech teams to articulate our protocol's value proposition.
- Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills, proficient with tools like Dune Analytics and DeFiLlama to analyze protocol data, guide sales strategies, and demonstrate partnership ROI.
- Negotiation & Execution: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and deal-closing skills, with the ability to independently drive complex partnerships to completion.
