Job Description
This position is responsible for managing and operating the Japanese Telegram community to drive engagement and growth. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing community performance through strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Japan Community Growth Active Index. Key tasks include identifying and collaborating with local influencers such as group owners and YouTubers to enhance community visibility and participation. The role requires proactive outreach to build partnerships and maintain a vibrant, active online presence for the community. The successful candidate will also monitor community metrics and implement improvements to sustain long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Japanese Telegram community, including content moderation, user engagement, and community guidelines enforcement.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase community membership and activity levels, ensuring consistent growth against the Japan Community Growth Active Index targets.
  • Identify and establish relationships with influential figures in the Japanese community, such as group administrators, content creators, and YouTubers, to foster collaboration and promote brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align community initiatives with broader business objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze community performance data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in community management.

Job Requirements
  • Native or fluent proficiency in Japanese, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with community members and influencers.
  • Proven experience in community management, preferably within the Japanese market or similar multicultural environments, with a track record of successful growth strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and influencers.
