Job Description
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to overseas web3 payment operations. The candidate will manage the drafting, review, and revision of English legal agreements, ensuring compliance with international regulatory frameworks. Key tasks include maintaining and updating standardized agreement templates, coordinating cross-departmental efforts to facilitate communication with project stakeholders, and conducting in-depth legal research on overseas business compliance matters. The role also involves assisting in the establishment and restructuring of corporate governance systems for overseas entities, including navigating local legal requirements. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with both overseas and domestic legal intermediaries, law firms, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations and risk mitigation. This position requires the ability to handle complex legal tasks independently while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support overseas web3 payment business expansion by drafting and reviewing English legal agreements, ensuring compliance with international regulations and contractual standards
- Develop and maintain comprehensive agreement templates that adapt to evolving legal frameworks, business practices, and market conditions
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between business departments and project stakeholders, including negotiating terms and resolving legal disputes
- Conduct thorough legal research on overseas business compliance requirements, focusing on cross-border payment regulations such as GDPR, AML, and KYC
- Assist in corporate governance activities for overseas entities, including entity establishment, restructuring, and legal documentation management
- Collaborate with international legal intermediaries and domestic law firms to ensure regulatory compliance and legal risk mitigation
- Provide legal support for contract management, dispute resolution, and compliance audits across global operations
- Stay updated on international legal developments and proactively advise on potential compliance risks or regulatory changes
- Prepare legal documentation for cross-border transactions, ensuring alignment with both local and international legal requirements
- Support the implementation of legal strategies to enhance business operations and minimize regulatory exposure
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Business, or related field with 3+ years of experience in international legal affairs or corporate compliance
- Proficiency in English and at least one additional language for communication with overseas stakeholders
- Strong understanding of web3 payment technologies and associated legal frameworks, including cryptocurrency regulations
- Experience with contract lifecycle management and legal document drafting in cross-border contexts
- Knowledge of international compliance standards such as GDPR, AML, KYC, and data protection regulations
- Ability to conduct legal research and analyze regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with business teams, legal partners, and project stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to manage complex legal documentation with precision
- Proficiency in legal software and document management systems for tracking agreements and compliance activities
- Strong analytical skills to assess legal risks and develop mitigation strategies for overseas operations
- Experience with corporate governance processes, including entity formation and legal structure optimization
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with cross-functional teams and external legal entities
- Preferred: Jurisprudence knowledge in multiple countries, especially those with active web3 payment markets
