Job Description
The Japanese Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of events and activities aimed at enhancing platform performance. This role requires a deep understanding of user behavior and platform dynamics to design and implement targeted initiatives that drive user engagement, retention, and transaction volume growth. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between design, product development, and research departments, aligning all efforts with business objectives. Additionally, this position involves continuous innovation in event gameplay models to stay competitive and achieve measurable outcomes in user acquisition and activity effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies tailored to platform-specific user segments, ensuring alignment with business goals such as increasing user activity, retention, and transaction volume.
  • Coordinate with design, product, and R&D teams to plan and implement activities, maintaining a consistent brand tone and ensuring the successful delivery of final results.
  • Monitor and analyze activity performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for optimization to improve operational efficiency and user engagement.
  • Conduct competitive analysis by tracking industry trends and competitor activities, refining existing templates and creating new ones to maintain a market edge.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate the impact of events on user growth, ensuring data-driven decisions for iterative improvements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of events from ideation to post-execution evaluation, ensuring all phases meet quality standards and deliver value.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, share insights, and align on priorities for activity optimization.
  • Stay updated on cultural and market trends in Japan to ensure activities resonate with local users and maintain relevance in a competitive landscape.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in event planning and operations management, with a focus on user-centric strategies and platform growth metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights for optimizing event performance and user engagement.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both local and international teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics) to track activity performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent project management abilities to oversee multiple events simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and marketing, to align on activity goals and execution plans.
  • Knowledge of competitive analysis methodologies to benchmark activities against industry standards and refine strategies accordingly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in event execution, such as low user participation or suboptimal conversion rates.
  • Experience in developing and iterating event templates to improve efficiency and scalability across different user segments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve key performance indicators.
