Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation, marketing materials, and community-related content into Chinese (Simplified), French, Georgian, Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Vietnamese
• Ensure translation accuracy by maintaining consistency with PancakeSwap's branding, terminology, and tone
• Collaborate with the localization team to review and refine translated content for cultural relevance
• Provide feedback on language-specific user needs and translation challenges
• Support the creation of multilingual community resources through regular updates and new content development
• Participate in translation reviews and quality checks to maintain high standards
• Engage with the community to understand language preferences and improve translation effectiveness
• Deliver translations within agreed timelines while maintaining a high level of professionalism
• Contribute to the growth of PancakeSwap's international user base through accurate and culturally appropriate translations
• Work with the team to ensure translated content aligns with project goals and community expectations

Job Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in at least two languages from the following list: Chinese (Simplified), French, Georgian, Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Vietnamese
• Strong command of English to ensure accurate translation of technical and project-related content
• Experience with blockchain terminology and cryptocurrency concepts is preferred
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with the localization team
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
• Proficiency in using translation tools and platforms (e.g., Crowdin, Google Translate, DeepL)
• Understanding of community management principles and user engagement strategies
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
• Passion for contributing to open-source projects and decentralized communities
• Experience with content localization for web platforms or mobile applications is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey translation needs and feedback
• Ability to work remotely and manage time efficiently
• Knowledge of PancakeSwap's ecosystem and mission is preferred
• Experience with translation projects for blockchain platforms or DeFi projects is advantageous
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to project guidelines
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple translation tasks simultaneously
• Experience with version control systems for managing translation updates
• Ability to adapt translation style to different content types (e.g., announcements, guides, FAQs)

Evaluation Process

PancakeSwap will evaluate candidates based on their translation quality, language proficiency, and ability to meet project requirements. The evaluation process will include a review of submitted translation samples, assessment of language fluency, and analysis of cultural adaptation skills. Candidates will be selected through a competitive process that considers their experience, availability, and commitment to the project. The final selection will be made by PancakeSwap's localization team, with the goal of creating a diverse and skilled translation network. Selected translators will be notified and given the opportunity to contribute to the project's multilingual initiatives. The evaluation process will also consider the candidate's ability to work with the community and provide ongoing support for translation needs. Additionally, candidates will be assessed on their adaptability to PancakeSwap's evolving content and their capacity to maintain a consistent voice across all translated materials. The team will prioritize candidates who demonstrate a deep understanding of the DeFi space and can effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner. Successful applicants will be expected to actively participate in community discussions and provide regular updates on translation progress. The evaluation will also include a test to measure the candidate's ability to handle time-sensitive tasks and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
