Job Description
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, revising, and managing various contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks. This role provides daily legal consultation and support to different departments, identifying legal risks in business operations and proposing solutions. The position also handles employment-related legal matters, including onboarding, offboarding, and labor contract management, ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Familiarity with labor laws and employment policies in the UAE (Dubai) and Japan is essential to provide legal support for cross-border employment. Additionally, the role involves assisting in establishing and improving contract management systems, employment regulations, and legal processes. The Legal Counsel will also review internal company policies and documents for legality and compliance, handle labor disputes and contract-related issues, and perform other legal tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, revise, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure compliance and risk control.
- Provide legal consultation and support to various departments, identifying risks and proposing solutions.
- Handle employment-related legal matters, including onboarding, offboarding, and labor contract management.
- Stay updated on labor laws and employment policies in the UAE (Dubai) and Japan for cross-border employment support.
- Assist in developing and improving contract management systems and employment regulations.
- Review internal company policies, notices, and documents for legal compliance.
- Assist in resolving labor disputes, contract conflicts, and other legal matters.
- Perform other legal-related tasks as assigned by the company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate legal affairs or law firms.
- Strong contract review skills with the ability to independently identify risks and provide legal opinions.
- Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations, preferably with knowledge of UAE (Dubai) and Japan labor systems.
- Excellent legal analysis, risk awareness, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of independently solving problems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and cross-department collaboration skills.
- High professional ethics, strong confidentiality awareness, and stress resistance.
Benefits
Salary: $2000 - $3500 per month / 13-month salary / Various holiday benefits.
