Job Description
This position is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and system reliability. The candidate will manage hardware and software components, address technical issues, and implement security protocols to protect organizational data and assets. The role requires proactive problem-solving, continuous system evaluation, and documentation of technical processes to support operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the daily operation of the company's IT system and monitor the status of hardware facilities such as servers, network equipment, and storage devices to maintain optimal performance.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical faults in IT systems, including software errors, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity issues, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing system availability.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures for IT systems, including regular updates to antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations of IT systems, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose and execute optimization strategies to enhance system speed, scalability, and resource utilization.
  • Document all system configurations, fault repair processes, and technical activities in detail, ensuring accurate records for troubleshooting, audits, and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment between IT operations and business objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and security vulnerabilities to continuously improve IT infrastructure and adapt to evolving organizational needs.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with advanced certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CISSP preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in IT operations, system administration, or network engineering, with a strong track record of managing enterprise-level hardware and software environments.
  • Expertise in monitoring and maintaining IT systems, including familiarity with tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or PRTG for real-time performance tracking and alert management.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity protocols, including knowledge of firewalls, antivirus solutions, and encryption technologies to ensure data protection and compliance with regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate system performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and develop data-driven optimization plans that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, document procedures clearly, and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize tasks efficiently, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus, as well as familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and incident management processes to ensure adherence to standardized operational procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve complex technical challenges and improve system resilience.
