Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Chinese-speaking communities on platforms including WeChat, Telegram, and Discord, ensuring consistent engagement and activity levels.
• Plan and execute community-building initiatives such as AMA sessions, themed discussions, and user-generated content campaigns to foster a vibrant and active community environment.
• Design and implement Discord community structures, including the creation of role-based channels, moderation systems, and automated bot functionalities to improve user experience and retention.
• Develop and maintain community guidelines, ensuring alignment with brand values and promoting positive interactions among members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create content that resonates with the Chinese audience, including translations, cultural adaptations, and localized messaging.
• Monitor community metrics such as growth rates, engagement levels, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Coordinate with BD teams to leverage community resources for business development, including identifying and engaging KOLs for brand collaborations.
• Participate in community strategy meetings to align with overall business goals and contribute to long-term community growth plans.
• Respond to user inquiries and resolve conflicts within the community to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in Chinese digital communities and adapt strategies to remain competitive in the market.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in managing online communities, preferably with a focus on Chinese-speaking audiences and platforms like WeChat, Telegram, and Discord.
• Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse user groups and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of community management best practices, including user onboarding, retention strategies, and conflict resolution techniques.
• Technical proficiency in using Discord's features for community building, such as bot development, channel organization, and moderation tools.
• Experience in coordinating BD resources, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and community influencers.
• Ability to analyze community data and metrics to inform decision-making and strategy development.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple community platforms simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and BD departments, to achieve shared objectives.
• Knowledge of Chinese internet culture, social media trends, and user behavior to create relevant and engaging content.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address community challenges and implement innovative solutions for growth and engagement.
