Job Description
This role is responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and execution in the SaaS industry within the Hong Kong and APAC markets. The candidate will lead the development of comprehensive business and sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of institutional clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics. Key focus areas include identifying high-potential opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline, and fostering long-term partnerships with both new and existing stakeholders in the region.
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement business development and sales strategies for SaaS solutions in the Hong Kong and APAC markets, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and revenue target setting.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities in the institutional market, leveraging industry insights to develop tailored solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, clients, and internal teams, to ensure sustained business growth and collaboration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales processes, address client concerns, and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies dynamically, ensuring the company remains competitive in the rapidly evolving SaaS landscape.
  • Lead the development of sales collateral, presentations, and pitch decks to effectively communicate the value proposition of SaaS products to institutional clients.
  • Coordinate with regional sales teams to ensure consistent messaging, track performance metrics, and optimize sales processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide regular reporting on market penetration, sales progress, and partnership development to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in SaaS business development or sales, with a demonstrated track record of success in the Hong Kong and APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of the SaaS industry, including subscription models, cloud infrastructure, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments, with a focus on aligning sales goals with product innovation and marketing initiatives.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese) preferred for effective client engagement in the region.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics software to track leads, manage accounts, and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate market data, identify trends, and develop data-driven strategies for business growth.
  • Ability to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, with a focus on institutional clients and enterprise partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster trust and long-term relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales, with a preference for candidates who have successfully scaled SaaS solutions in the APAC region.
