Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Business Architecture: Develop and execute technology strategies and roadmaps deeply aligned with the company's mid-to-long-term business objectives. Lead the top-level architecture design, continuous evolution, and strategic restructuring of core trading systems, risk control systems, fund clearing systems, and blockchain infrastructure services. Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies such as high-performance matching engines, zero-knowledge proofs, and Layer2 solutions to drive product innovation and business growth.
- R&D Team Building & Global Management: Oversee the formation, development, motivation, and management of global technical teams (especially in Kuala Lumpur and cross-regional locations), fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and excellence-driven engineering culture. Establish and optimize technical recruitment standards, engineer career development frameworks, performance evaluation systems, and core talent retention mechanisms. Lead the recruitment and development of key technical talent, enhancing the team's expertise and innovation capabilities in blockchain, high-concurrency systems, and financial security.
- Product Development & High-Quality Delivery: Lead end-to-end technical management for core exchange product lines (spot, futures, wealth management, payment cards, liquidity services) and innovative businesses (e.g., rebate programs). Implement and continuously refine agile and efficient R&D processes and project delivery systems to ensure timely and high-quality releases of critical products. Assume ultimate technical responsibility for the performance, stability, asset security, and user experience of live products.
- Security, Compliance & Risk Management: Build and enhance comprehensive defense systems covering cybersecurity, financial transaction security, digital asset custody security, and data privacy, embedding a "security-first" principle into the technical DNA. Ensure all technical architectures, product designs, and data processing workflows fully comply with financial regulations, KYC/AML, and data privacy laws in Malaysia and other operational regions, adapting flexibly to regulatory changes. Lead emergency response, technical post-mortems, and systemic reinforcement for major security incidents to safeguard platform and user assets.
- Technical Operations & Excellence: Ensure global production environment stability and high availability by establishing multi-layered monitoring, intelligent alerts, automated operations, and disaster recovery systems. Drive continuous optimization of technical architectures and fine-grained resource cost management to improve system efficiency and overall R&D operational effectiveness. Develop and promote technical knowledge bases, coding standards, and quality culture, ensuring long-term system health through rigorous technical reviews.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale software system development, with 5+ years in comprehensive technical leadership roles (e.g., VP of Engineering, CTO) at fintech firms, cryptocurrency exchanges, or top-tier internet companies.
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of microservices and distributed system architectures, with proven success in high-performance, low-latency trading systems. Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals and digital asset security (hot/cold wallets, multi-signature, MPC, etc.).
- Leadership: Demonstrated success in building and leading cross-cultural technical teams of 50+ members from scratch, with exceptional abilities in team motivation, strategic decision-making, and global collaboration.
- Business & Compliance: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value. Familiarity with global financial market compliance requirements (especially Southeast Asia) and their integration into product design.
- Language: Fluent English as a working language for multinational teams; proficiency in Chinese is a significant advantage for collaboration with headquarters and Mandarin-speaking teams/clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading the design, development, or major evolution of trading systems handling daily volumes exceeding $10 billion.
- Successful track record managing globally distributed technical teams across regions (e.g., China, UK, Southeast Asia).
- Deep technical insights into DeFi, cross-chain, RWA, and other cutting-edge domains, with practical experience integrating them into centralized businesses.
- Active participation in and passion for cryptocurrency, with a keen understanding of industry ecosystems and technological trends.
