Job Description
As a Senior Social Media Manager at OKX, you will be a key member of the social media team, responsible for managing and growing the company's major Chinese accounts across global social platforms. This role requires strategic planning and execution of content creation initiatives that align with brand identity, product launches, and Web3 industry trends. You will also oversee the publication of content on various social media channels to maintain a consistent online presence and engage the target audience effectively. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with overall business goals and ensure cohesive messaging across all digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to drive follower growth, brand awareness, and user engagement through targeted activities, collaborations, and marketing tools.
- Lead the creation of high-quality, original content (text, images, videos) that reflects OKX's brand values and resonates with diverse audience segments across platforms like WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and international networks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, marketing, product, and other teams to conceptualize and execute innovative campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics (engagement rates, follower growth, click-through rates) to identify trends, optimize content calendars, and deliver data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging Web3 trends, industry news, and cultural shifts to ensure content remains relevant and timely, while providing actionable recommendations to the marketing team.
- Manage social media crisis communication and reputation management by monitoring public sentiment and responding to breaking news or trending topics strategically.
- Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark performance and identify opportunities for differentiation in the social media landscape.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that balances brand messaging with audience interests, ensuring timely and consistent posting across all platforms.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all social media content adheres to regulatory requirements and brand guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management, preferably in the fintech/Web3 industry, with a track record of driving measurable growth for high-profile accounts.
- Excellent understanding of Chinese social media ecosystems, including platform algorithms, user behavior, and content best practices for WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin.
- Strong creative and analytical skills to develop content concepts, track performance, and translate insights into actionable strategies for both social and marketing teams.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively across multicultural teams and audiences.
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and data visualization software to monitor campaign performance and generate reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, balancing creative vision with strategic execution to meet business goals and maintain brand consistency.
- Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising principles to enhance online visibility and engagement across platforms.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output standards.
- Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving digital trends while maintaining a deep understanding of OKX's brand and product offerings.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media scheduling tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
