Job Description
The Boka Community Builder (Ecology) plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and engaged community ecosystem. This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of both internal and external community platforms. Key responsibilities include managing the internal forum and chat tools to ensure seamless communication among team members, while simultaneously driving the growth and sustainability of our public forum. The role requires cultivating a positive community culture, organizing interactive sessions, and implementing strategies to boost user participation and engagement. Additionally, the Community Builder will oversee the development of external community initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering collaboration between developers and stakeholders. By analyzing community data and gathering feedback, this position will serve as the primary liaison between the community and the organization, translating insights into actionable improvements. The role also involves staying abreast of emerging technologies and creating educational resources to empower community members with knowledge and tools.
Key Responsibilities
  • Actively manage and maintain internal communication platforms, including forums and chat tools, to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the public forum, focusing on increasing user engagement and fostering meaningful interactions.
  • Cultivate a strong community culture by organizing events, moderating discussions, and promoting positive engagement practices.
  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance activity levels in both internal and external communities, ensuring consistent participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align community efforts with organizational objectives and product development goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on community data to provide actionable insights and measure the impact of community activities.
  • Act as a representative of the community, translating feedback into improvements and ensuring the organization understands user needs.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and create educational content to support community members in leveraging new tools effectively.
  • Coordinate with social media managers, content creators, and technology educators to ensure cohesive community engagement strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community initiatives against predefined business metrics and KPIs.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in community management, preferably in a tech or developer-focused environment, with a strong track record of driving engagement and growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with community members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret community data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to create and curate educational content that is accessible, informative, and aligned with community needs and technological advancements.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams, including coordination with social media, content creation, and product development departments.
  • Proficiency in managing online communities, including forums, chat platforms, and social media channels, with a focus on user experience and engagement.
  • Knowledge of community metrics and KPIs, including activity levels, participation rates, and user feedback, to evaluate the success of community initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including event planning, content moderation, and data analysis.
