Job Description
The Korean Moderator role is critical to maintaining a vibrant and supportive player community for our gaming platform. This position requires proactive management of official communication channels to ensure a positive user experience, monitor community engagement, and address player concerns in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between players and the development team, providing accurate information while fostering constructive dialogue.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and moderate official forums, chat channels (Discord, Telegram, Kakao), and social media platforms to maintain a respectful and inclusive community environment.
- Stay current with company announcements, game updates, and core mechanics to provide players with timely, accurate, and contextually relevant responses to their queries.
- Compile and analyze player sentiment data, identify emerging community challenges, and document trending topics to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with Customer Support and Quality Assurance teams to resolve escalated issues, provide feedback on player experiences, and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement community guidelines that align with brand values while adapting to cultural nuances in the Korean market.
- Engage with players through regular check-ins, surveys, and feedback sessions to build trust and gather insights for future improvements.
- Track and report on community metrics such as engagement rates, user satisfaction scores, and conflict resolution outcomes.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to share community insights and coordinate responses to global events or updates.
Job Requirements
- Native or fluent proficiency in Korean, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English for international collaboration.
- Deep understanding of game mechanics, player behavior, and community dynamics within the Korean gaming landscape.
- Proven experience in moderation roles, preferably in gaming or online communities, with a track record of managing conflicts and maintaining positive engagement.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret player feedback, identify patterns, and create actionable reports for stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent support.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple channels and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with moderation tools, analytics platforms, and communication software (Discord, Telegram, Kakao, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of gaming industry trends, community management best practices, and cultural sensitivity in Korean contexts is essential.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to respond to community activity during peak times.
