Job Description
As an Infrastructure Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic collaborations with leading infrastructure providers. This position focuses on building and sustaining long-term relationships with top-tier partners to align their capabilities with Optimism's technical and business objectives. You will drive the development of innovative growth initiatives and programs that expand our reach within the developer community, ensuring these partnerships contribute to our competitive advantage. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate partnership insights into actionable strategies that enhance product development and engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain day-to-day relationships with key infrastructure partners, conducting regular evaluations to understand their unique value propositions and how they can be leveraged to benefit Optimism's ecosystem.
  • Design and implement growth channels and programs that increase developer engagement, including creating targeted outreach strategies and onboarding processes for new partners.
  • Collaborate with the Developer Relations team to develop scalable solutions that improve the overall developer experience, ensuring these initiatives meet user needs and technical requirements.
  • Identify, structure, and execute high-value strategic partnerships that deliver competitive terms and best-in-class infrastructure service level agreements (SLAs), including negotiating contracts and managing partnership lifecycle stages.
  • Provide strategic input to product and engineering teams by sharing market insights, competitor analysis, and feedback from partners to inform roadmap decisions and optimize technical outcomes.
  • Monitor partnership performance metrics and deliver regular reports to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in infrastructure partnerships or similar roles, with a strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with enterprise-level providers.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, networking, and distributed systems, to evaluate partner capabilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate technical requirements and business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management expertise, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple partnership initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor landscapes to identify strategic opportunities for partnership expansion and innovation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools to track partnership performance metrics and generate actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Experience in fostering collaboration between product/engineering teams and external partners to ensure alignment on technical and business priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex partnership workflows and maintain detailed records of all interactions and agreements.
  • Ability to develop and present compelling business cases for new partnerships, demonstrating ROI and strategic value to leadership teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resolving partnership-related challenges and optimizing collaboration outcomes.
