Job Description
Cobo is seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive candidate to join us as a Sales Director with a focus on expanding our custody solutions business. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive growth across crypto-native, corporate, financial services, and traditional industries. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the crypto economy and demonstrate the ability to build relationships and partnerships with institutional clients, partners, and prospects. You will be responsible for defining and executing sales strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and deliver results. The position also involves representing Cobo in industry events and contributing to the company's branding and marketing initiatives through thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to expand Cobo's digital asset custody business, with a specific emphasis on APAC markets.
- Drive monthly and quarterly revenue targets across all of Cobo's solutions, including custodial wallets, MPC wallets, wallet-as-a-service, and other related offerings.
- Identify, source, and close new institutional accounts while actively pursuing cross-selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients.
- Lead the full sales life cycle from initial prospecting to client onboarding, including preparing presentations, product demos, and proposals, negotiating terms, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless client integration.
- Establish and nurture channel partnerships to create a robust pipeline of client referrals and expand market reach.
- Represent Cobo at conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities, serving as the company's evangelist and spokesperson to strengthen brand visibility and market positioning.
- Stay abreast of the latest market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, providing actionable insights to the product development team to enhance offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with overall business goals and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify growth opportunities, optimize strategies, and improve conversion rates.
- Build and maintain a strong network within the crypto ecosystem to uncover new business opportunities and foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or equivalent role in the fintech or crypto industry, with a track record of driving revenue growth for SaaS-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of digital asset custody, blockchain technology, and the broader crypto economy, including key segments such as institutional services, corporate adoption, and traditional finance integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives, institutional investors, and technical teams to articulate value propositions and build trust.
- Outstanding negotiation and deal-closing abilities, combined with a strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on high-value opportunities in the market.
- Ability to lead and mentor a sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and results-driven performance.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM systems to track sales pipelines, evaluate performance, and make data-informed decisions.
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage complex sales processes, coordinate cross-functional activities, and ensure timely delivery of client onboarding.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse markets and stakeholders in the APAC region.
- Preferred: Experience with institutional crypto clients, knowledge of regulatory frameworks in financial services, and familiarity with blockchain security protocols.
